Day 15 - chilly day

All challenges met emoticon
I missed my afternoon pot of tea and had a slight headache in the evening. I may need to review my caffeine intake. 2 pots of tea (6-8 mugs) may still be the same amount of caffeine as my 2-3 mugs of coffee.

In the morning we went into town and I found some flax seeds and pumpkin seeds at the health food store. Of course being out and about meant I didn't get time to "play" with my new found coconut milk and it may be the weekend before I can do that.

It was a chilly day and I wore my fleece jacket when we out - that only happens a few days a year here! The schools were closed as they have no heating and the concrete buildings get really chilly. Our house is concrete and when I got up in the morning it was 46 outside and 62 inside - great for my morning yoga but after that the heater comes on!

Breakfast - eggwhite, chia seed, strawberry and blueberry smoothie, pot of English breakfast tea
Snack - bowl of grapefruit
Lunch - 1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoes, 3 oz grilled salmon and green beans with bacon
Snack - 10 almonds and a half an apple
Dinner - bowl of Lentil soup


The beans were great. I chopped 3 slices of bacon and cooked them till nearly done, added the (trimmed and washed) beans, sauteed till they started to catch and then added water and covered. Simmered for 6-8 mins till done al dente. Yum!

    This looks fab once again! Have only recently started cooking sweet potato - it's so easy and quick. Also having a tsp of flax per day in bircher muesli. Am wondering too how you avoid hunger?!

    I've been reading your blogs and you have been very inspiring. I'm 49 and would like to lose at least 20 pounds. I manage to lose 7 and then go right back up. Anyhow, I need to keep my calories at 1200 in order to lose...slooooowly. But I get so hungry. How do you do it?

    I love bacon, but it is so messy to cook, it keeps me from over indulging on it.
