Yeah, I'm back ... again ... I've lost count how many times I've slacked off and come back LOL.

The good news is I haven't gained back any weight I'd lost while I was inactive here, in fact I lost a couple pounds. I went to the doctor last week and he said my blood pressure was good and I'm clear to go off the one remaining med completely (last time he told me to just take it if I noticed my pressure going up or my feet swelling up.)

The bad news is I've slipped back into a couple old bad habits: soda and not exercising every day. Fortunately, those two things haven't totally destroyed my progress because I'm still eating healthier and am still fairly active even if it's not technically "working out." I still have a longer way to go to be at my goal than I'd hoped by this time, but I haven't given up yet, so there's still hope! And it's a new year, and I've got 6 months to get fit for my 50th birthday! Holy cow, fifty! Haha. My previous goal was to hike Mt Everest for my 50th, but alas that's not going to happen unless someone drops a huge wad of money on me and I somehow manage to get in incredible physical shape in the next six months. But that's OK, I have revised my goal and am hoping to be able to take a camping/hiking trip this summer. My first choice is to Glacier National Park, but if that's out of my price range by then, then even an overnighter at a local campsite is OK. Just something different to start the second half of my life on the right foot and mindset.
