BLC 21 Here I come

So it is the night before a new BLC challenge. I'm both excited and nervous.

I'm excited because it means new friends, new challenges, a lot of support on my journey and new expectations. I'm excited because in my mind I can see myself succeeding and being 12 pounds less on the scale, and making progress towards my ultimate goal.

However, I'm nervous because I have been here before. I have started new challenges before, with great excitement and determination only to pretty much give up a few weeks in. I let distractions, excuses, negative thinking, and loss of focus, cause me to stop trying. And I wonder if that is always meant to be my doom. I hope not.

So I try to push away all my doubts, fears, excuses and negative thinking away. Because this time I want to succeed.

I started this year with a few small goals of getting in my water, tracking my food and getting in 120 minutes of exercise a week. As for my water, last week I suceeded 5 out of 7 days, so there is still room for improvement, but at least I didn't give up. I did exercise 5 out of 7 days, at least trying to fit in some sort of exercise, meeting my 120 goal in fact I think I beat it, since I found myself capable of doing 30 minute workouts. And as for tracking. Well I didn't track every day, but I tracked enough to see how bad my calorie intake was. So now I have begun to make changes. I said this was a journey and a process that I wanted to keep moving forward on, so with a new challenge starting tomorrow, I want to update my goals now after 2 weeks to reflect I'm making progress.

1 - Get 150 minutes of exercise each week!
2 - Drink 8 cups of water every day!
3 - Continue to track my food but now aim to stay in calorie range 4/7 days each week (that will increase as I adjust)
4 - Get 5 servings of fruits and veggies each day.

I'm sure in a week or two I'll adjust them again, because that is what progress is. Progress for me is continuing to take steps forward for greater improvement! Yay for a new BLC!
And Yay for my Stop team, for helping me add in new healthy habits a little at a time!

This time I will be successful!
