Different when you try enlightened eating.

It is so strange how easily I am keeping to the vegan lifestyle, and how, ultimately, I am not “cheating”: Granted this weekend, because of my T.O.M. I did eat a little more pasta than normal, and some fried veggie Thai eggrolls, but ultimately, now that the cravings are gone, I have avoided candy, breads (with eggs), the donuts that are brought in every Friday and all the normally fattening things that are paraded around my office.

I am going at this new way of eating, no by “Oh cr-p that’s fattening I can’t eat that!”…but rather, “Is it humane?”, “Does it contain, milk, eggs, etc…?”…and you know what? I’m avoiding them.

I’m approaching it in a different way and looking at food in a different way, and in the end, I am sticking close to nature, and avoiding processed foods, and in turn, I am staying true to my path towards enlightened eating. emoticon

It feels good.

    I found my best plan was portion control. I do reviews for a virtual group and have challenged that I can eat in any restaurant and eat healthy. I've proven it at our gatherings. I'm not vegan, vegetarian, n/d, n/g or whatever BUT a lot of my friends are. They tell me a do a little of all of those groups. I embrace all their lifestyles now when I used to think they were weird! (I was so ignorant about health at the time.) I do know I avoid processed ANYTHING as much as possible. I think the way you are going about it is spot on! Stay strong!
