Nike Sportband and my day..

Today has been a really good day. My mom had bought me a Nike Sportband for Christmas because she made me a deal that if I lost 20 more pounds before Christmas she would buy it for me. Well.. We had put the chip into her computer to charge it and then I forgot it when I had left. Today she decided she would bring the chip up and we'd go for a mile walk to calibrate it. Went for that walk and came home to calibrate it and we decided to go for another mile walk.. It ended up a little over that.

Once we got home, she had to get ready to head to sioux city for a meeting for work.. and since I had some time before I had to get the kids from the bus stop, I took another walk. In all, I walked 3.76 miles today. My legs are KILLING me because I haven't walked that much in a long time. I am already under my calories without counting in the walks so I'm trying to decide if I should eat something more or just forget about it. I'd rather not just reach for snacks. Right now I am feeling like I am ready for bed.. but I hate to go to bed without my husband.. and he said he may be working an extra hour tonight.. which puts him off work at 10:15 so I'll probably be up for a bit still.

All I can say, is that I am glad my mom brought me the chip to my Sportband because it makes me want to walk. She has me on her friends list on her nike account as well.. so it makes me want to walk more to show her how well I can do and I just want to keep watching the numbers go up on the miles tracked.

Tomorrow is Exandria's "christmas concert." It's going to be a busy day. Levi has TKD from 3:45 to 5:45.. Then we'll do activities with Ex's class from 6-6:45 and then they have songs. After that will be time for bed. So somehow we'll have to figure out supper between TKD and the concert. Hoping I can find something decent without overdoing supper. Definitely going to have to get in at least a mile walk while kids are at school tomorrow. I set goals for my nike account and I'm planning on hitting them!

    Excellent! Take advantage of the motivation you feel to walk right now to get your stamina up. I'm glad you have such a supportive mom! As far as snacking at night I would try not to do it. Especially just because you have extra calories you haven't used - those are a bonus! When you are debating on whether to snack or not try drinking a cup of decafe fruity or spicy tea and then afterward decide if you still want a snack. It will get more water in you and give your head time to decide if it is hunger you are feeding or boredom. If you decide you still want a snack make it count - do celery or broccoli with hummus or an apple or clementine. Don't reach for the chocolate or chips because you will turn on a switch in your brain that will be hard to turn off! Good luck!
