Teacher Work Day

Monday, January 14, 2013

It was a very good day with the kids. It was fun to spend the day with them by myself.

This morning, we watched a couple of episodes of The Carol Burnett Show that I picked up as part of my Christmas from my parents. The kids really like the slap-stitch. I remember watching some of the old episodes when I was a kid too (re-runs) but I always liked the laughs.

We then got out of the house for a couple of hours too. I decided to pick up some bell peppers and used the chicken in the refrigerator to make chicken fajitas for dinner tonight. I asked that they at least try the bell peppers. The older two didn't really like it (as expected) but the youngest liked hers. I'm hoping some day that I can get the other two to like them too. It's a nice difference from burritos.

It was a sunny and very warm day here. It was 79 which was a record. Looking forward to cooling down later this week. I really hope it gets cold and stays cold for 2-4 weeks so that the insects will get killed off and aren't as bad as last year.

Hope everyone else had a great day.

Were they green or red bell peppers? I was never a big fan of the former growing up, but I loved me some red bell peppers!

I can send some of our cold weather your way. Really it is not so bad here today, just around the freezing mark and we are hoping for snow. I am hoping the canal freezes soon so we can go skating. Winter is great!
