Yet another rough night last night. I got very little sleep and chose to go back to bed for an hour after the kids went to school. Feel a bit better now, but still a little out of sorts.
I spent yesterday preparing a whole bunch of food in advance so that I would have lots of good slow carb options available for lunches and quick meals. Made two types of chicken, pork, beef vindaloo, boiled eggs. In fact, I have so much food that I had to put some of it in the basement fridge. I won't have to make anything for supper tonight -- time to attack some of those leftovers.
I gave blood today, for the first time in many, many years. Everything went fine. I ate the little pack of cookies they gave me after, and I feel the slightest bit guilty about it, but it seemed like the right thing to do for my body. I can't do any strenuous activity for the next 6 to 8 hours and no heavy lifting until tomorrow. Which is fine, as I wasn't planning another kettlebell workout until at least tomorrow anyway. My hamstrings hurt! Later on I'll go for a walk because my step count is woefully low, and I have meetings to sit in all afternoon. Tomorrow I plan to walk to work, so that should help getting my steps back up into my target range for the week.
I've been finding for the last few days, since Friday or so, I don't really have much of an appetite. I don't feel terribly hungry, and there isn't really much food that appeals to me. I guess that's a good thing, and at the same time, it's strange. I know I need to eat, so not finding any food appealing is a bit odd.
