Today's Task

emoticon This is my first ever blog so please bear with me.

I'm trying out spark coach and my task for today was to write a blog about how I waste time and what I could be doing with that time to work towards a healthier me.

This morning was a great example of time wasting. Before I knew it today it was noon and I was still in my pajamas without a plan for the day. The worst part was I woke up at 7 - where in the world did the morning go? True I did laze in bed and read a bit and watch a show with hubby which is good because normally it's get and up and go go go with the kids so it was relaxing. But I really don't know what happened to the other 2 or 3 hours.

I could have done so much with those couple of hours but they are gone never to return again. On the other hand, I've ended the day feeling quite relaxed. True didn't get much done but I'm relaxed not stressed which is a bonus.

My biggest time waster is not planning - when I don't plan my day I spend so much time thinking about what I should do that nothing really gets done. My other time waster is the internet and much of that is sparkpeople. I love reading all the different info that SP has but then I lose the time to put it all into practice.

I read on SP today the idea of setting an alarm when you sit down to the computer and I think I might have to implement that idea.

My common complaint is that I don't have enough time - not to track or fit in 5 workouts a week. So I'm going to work on that. Stop spending so much time on the internet and plan what to do and when to do it.

    I've been using my phone as a timer / reminder so I don't get sidetracked as easily. It doesn't solve the entire problem (I can be sooo lazy, lol) but it does help nudge me to stay on track.
