So I start 2013 at 239 lbs - up 9 lbs from last year this time. I hadn't even stood on a scale since last January. So I'm actually impressed, I thought the number would be higher. But I think I gained the weight since I got hurt at work since I was put on a restricted use so most exercise even walking was not allowed.
I had already started to change my eating habits last year. I felt better when I did - limiting my processed food intake, limit the pop/coffee.
My clothes are loose, even a pair of jeans a bought 6 months ago.
My tops - I've gone from a 2X to an X. Don't ask how, I have no clue cause my bra size hasn't changed! But I have lost alot of overall back fat and belly fat. I'll post my measurements later once I find my tape measure. I know my one arm is going to be horrid as I've lost alot of muscle definition - can't wait to be able to use the kettle bells again.
Shoes: I'm down from a 9 to an 8.
Exercise: still limited on exercise. But I'm able to try walking for 15-30 minutes at a time with no quick arm movements and I have to wear a tendonitis brace.
Food: Following a new guide for me, it's a change/diet called Eat To Live. I"m not able to jump right into the 6 week plan 100%. I love my coffee - though it's down to 1 cup a day and somedays I can't drink all of that. I also still eat animal products (yogurt, small amounts of cheese, eggs and a little meat), I already had a very limited amount of grains in my diet and I have increased my veggies - more raw veg, and fruit intake and make more vegetarian meals but to satisfy the family we still have meat meals. Cutting out the processed foods has been the hardest. Even though I have been slowly weaning them out of my diet I still end up with carb headaches. I'm working on keeping pop out of the house, oldest brought some home yesterday, I had 14 oz of it and 1. it satisfied nothing and 2. it didn't taste right. I had no desire to drink any more and even at that I would say 3 oz were poured down the sink.
We've made some great steps around here to keep the processed foods, chips and junk out. We have all agreed that the hubby and kids are not doing the full change with me but they will try to limit or eat/drink away from the house so not to temp me. As long as I can keep the kids in fruit for the most part they don't ask for junk.
