What the....

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Even though Friday was my day off, we got up early and bundled up to head over to walk the kennel kids. It was 30-32 degrees out, which was fine except for the thin layer of ice over everything.

Three and a half hours later we had walked the equivalent of a 10K, and managed to not once slip and fall!
LOL I call that good fortune.

Once we got home, we showed, warmed up, and had lunch. I had a big lunch but I had a big appetite. I don't know if it was the cold or what, but Bill crashed for a long afternoon nap, and I slipped into a wakeful coma - that kind of state where you just don't move even though you're awake and aware. I think we got up to make dinner, and that was that!

Oddly enough (or maybe not) I had a very high calorie day and my biggest loss yet on the scale. Coincidence? We'll see. I know what you eat on one day does not automatically show up on the scale the next day, but I did find it interesting. We'll see how things trend over the next few days.

You may have noticed a slight change to my SparkPage. We were assigned to BLC teams last evening, and I'm now a Courageous Copper Cougar!
I've said before I thought I might check out challenge teams to see if something struck right, and this is it! It'll be an interesting 12 weeks I think, and I'm excited!

I'm impressed, here you are for a 2nd weekend. Sadly, I kinda blew it. Oh well, it's a new week. Hope yours is wonderful!

It is good that you keep a log. Logging is my salvation that keeps me in line. Since you saw me last I have lost 9 lbs and I contribute it to consistently logging in my food and exercise. Keep up the good work with your animals. It is serendipity that they get to walk while exercising their walkers.

Oh a courageous cougar, yes, that's you! I hope you do really well with your challenge. I think I should hire you and Bill to come walk Maureen. I think she would be thrilled to walk that far. Do you walk fast? She'd like that too. LOL

P.S. Think I'm joking? After their 1.2 mile walk earlier today, my ornery pups are wrestling at my feet. Good thing there's a back key on this thing or all my mistakes would make it illegible! Sigh.

Have fun with the team challenge! Our Winter 5% Challenge is just getting ready to start. It's only 8 weeks though. I'm hoping to make my goal this time around.

    Good luck with the challenge!

I'd love to walk pound puppies, but no opportunities here. I should just start taking out our exciteable terrier. She'd love that.

Do you find your BMR to be accurate? I make myself crazy looking at numbers and trying to make everything coordinate. Especially when those numbers can fluctuate all over the map.
