Saturday Morning

The fitness center is still out of order. Fingers crossed they fix it SOON! I would love to get on the treadmill even for 10 minutes a day. I'm thinking about starting to go to the fitness center twice a day. Once in the morning and once after mom gets home from work if she doesn't go plus doing Richard Simmons. I definitely need to get the weight off. I am highly frustrated that the fitness has been out for most of this week and it's been a pretty rainy week. Thursday and Friday were serious slack off days with the eating. I had more pasta on Thursday than I intended on eating. Love my pasta. I read that slip ups should be expected and I should learn from it. Today it's not raining yet. So I am hoping that I can get outside and walk. My son and I walked yesterday to meet my mom since we were going to walmart. I'm off. My boy is messing in stuff.

I wish pasta wasn't so high in calories or carbs. I love pasta. My sister and I used to eat buttered noodles all the time when we were younger. It didn't matter what kind of pasta it was we ate it. I have seen spaghetti squash and recipes for it. I am thinking about giving it a try. I love fruits and veggies. The recipe you put sounds so yummy. I am hoping that the fitness center opens sometime this week. It was so nice outside yesterday. My son and I were outside for like 45 minutes. It was the first time in a week that it didn't rain. It is back to raining again. I'm not a big fan of wet clothes and I only have 1 umbrella. I'm not going to be walking around when there's a hurricane or a tornado. I'm not that brave.

Oh pasta... how I miss thee lol. I use to be addicted to pasta. I would dream of binging on bowls of spaghetti with butter and parmesan cheese. It's so high calorie, that it's tough to eat it, fit it into your calorie allowance, AND feel satisfied. Have you ever tried spaghetti squash? Totally not the same as real pasta obviously, but it can definitely help in cutting it out. My favorite meal is spaghetti squash casserole. I use a whole spaghetti squash, 1 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/2 jar spaghetti sauce, 1/2 c reduced fat cheese, and 8 oz ground turkey. It's AMAZING.

That truly sucks about the fitness center being closed. Definitely just go outside and walk. When I first started, all I did was walk. And my walks were non-negotiable. Heat, cold, wind, rain, I didn't care lol. In fact, when we were having hurricane Irene, I still went out and walked hahaha! (Not that I recommend you risk your life or anything.) 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, it adds up. And the bigger point is that you build HABIT. Motivation gets you started, but habit is what keeps you going.

    Good luck!! :)
