Cold, dry snow . . .

. . . is much easier to move than moister snow. Not surprised, just saying . . . .
With just 10 more degrees of cold (can you have 'more cold' or just less warmth??) here today than a couple of days ago I'm able to move rink snow like a snowblower! Well, not quite, but today I was able to move as much snow in one hour as it took two hours to move day before yesterday.
Now, I agree with all you commenters who suggested letting the Dads of the Grands clear more ice if they want a bigger rink. It just might come to that, but for the time being, since I'm the one benefiting from all this exercise, I'll do as much to get a Big People's rink ready as I can.
With the current cold, dry weather and using a snow pusher rather than a snow shovel, I'll be able to get at least two-thirds of the Big People rink done tomorrow, maybe more. Then all I have to do is pray for no precipitation till after the 19th and I'll be able to spend next week building a snow castle/fort and tramping a toboggan hill. I don't know who winter is more fun for--Gramps or Grands : )
