Day 13

Friday, January 11, 2013

Okay, so yesterday I stated that I was going to read my Geek magazine. That got me thinking that I didn't post anything I got for Christmas on here! (Hang with me for a minute, you will see where this is going...) How rude of me!!!

So here goes. Some things I got for Christmas...

I also got an Avengers "water bottle", batman and spiderman shirts, a "soft kitty" shirt (from The Big Bang Theory) and a lot of other nerdy.. er, awesome things!!

So that brings me up to this:
One of THE best magazines EVER!!! And apparently I'm more of a nerd then I thought I was because I thought the same about most of the comic book movies as the people discussing them... Not quite sure if that's something to be proud of or not, but I thought it was awesome! This is the article that was talking about the movies.

I mean, seriously how many times do we need to go over how Spider-Man got his powers?!? I'm pretty sure that after the first movie NO ONE forgot! And apparently I wasn't the only one who thought this either. And Watchmen? I mean, really, how many people even understood what was going on WITHOUT reading the comic? Not many - hence why it didn't do so good. Anywho, moving on.

Now this
This was the cream of the crop. The doughnut on my cheat days (hate doughnuts but you get the idea). The best thing EVER (besides the actual books and the movies) My favorite part had to be when they talked about the "Dwarf eye-candy". No. Lie. Thorin and Kili. Look them up if you don't believe me. Definitely cannot argue with that. Although I would add Fili to that list too. Anywho, I loved how they went into the movie and gave background and everything because some of the stuff in the movie is actually from JRR Tolkiens other novels - such as The Silmarillion. They also want Jackson to put in the big fight scene between the Orcs and the Dwarfs to give some of Thorin's history in why he hates them so much and why his quest is so important to him - Couldn't agree more. But I guess we will see what happens in the next two movies. Oh yeah, for him NOT putting in Tom Bombadil in The Lord of the Rings, there is a rumor that he is putting Beorn in the Hobbit - which is awesome because he has a fairly good role in the book and more than just once so *yay*

Alright, I gotta stop talking about this or else I could go on all night. Well, hope everyone has a sparktastic day/night!
