2 weeks in and NOTHING!

Friday, January 11, 2013

Well, )(&$@ &&%%## )(*&&^% That's me cursing loudly. What's up with no weight loss? It's been a difficult 2 weeks! Giving up my Mt. Dew and my McDonald's Sweet Tea, changing eating habits, trying to quit smoking....and what DO I have to show for it. NOTHING emoticon

Okay, so I know it takes time. The body has to adjust. I'll soon see a difference. Yep, know all of that. emoticon But, dang I was so hopeful today. emoticon

So, I'll keep at it. I've been this way for years so it's not going to vanish overnight.
I'm just very disappointed. emoticon

I know the feeling, it's crushing and it has cause me to give up many times in the past out of frustration. I've finally learned to just keep moving forward. Keep moving forward, it will happen.

Drink your water, and if you can do some exercises, I KNOW it hurts, I KNOW you have to be careful. There is s chair exercise team here that is active and great. I joined it cos a friend said it is great for bad backs and you can lose on this etc. I tended at first to feel even more disabled feeling as if I had to do those, but then did some adn now can most days do a bit of reg. exercise but as you say depends on my back and my knees.

Keep moving forward. :) It will happen for you. Sometimes it's not the number on the scale we need to concentrate on, it's how you feel about yourself and how your clothes fit. One day at a time. :) I'm sure you're getting tired of hearing that, but that's what it takes. HUGS!

Quitting smoking at the same time as trying to lose weight is an accomplishment in and of itself. Keep pushing!

Gosh I know that feeling! And it's hard. I watched The Biggest Loser earlier this week ( which I normally do not do) and one of the contestants didn't lose any weight and you know how much they push. It will all catch up! Keep up the great work and know you are getting healthier...not just thinner!

The worst thing would be to give up. Be sure you are tracking your foods accurately. Also be sure to drink your water. You WILL lose it!
