...and rest!

I have been going at it pretty hard and heavy the last couple of weeks. I'm seeing results as well. I'm slimming down, I'm more focused on my work-outs, and I'm really paying attention to my nutrition and fitness regimens. But I'm also needing a rest.

I've been working out pretty regularly the last couple of weeks. Yesterday was a big day. I did weight training for about an hour (when I do my reps, between sets I do Kung Fu techniques both to stretch out and to keep moving). I went to instructor class for a couple of hours last night; and I walked a the hellhounds for over an hour and a half. So to sum it all up: I'm tired.

There is a danger of always being on the go. I need a bit of balance. Today was "No Strenuous Exercise Day". I taught for two hours at the Kung Fu school and I didn't walk the hellhounds (while walking dogs is not strenuous, walking hellhounds is a totally different story!). I'm a bit sore, and I'm in need of a day off. However what is good today is that this day off is actually a day to continue. I'm already planning for tomorrow.

It is good to refresh and get squared up again. I'm sore, but this is a good sore that is making me stronger for what is coming.

I'm having fun and I'm keeping up with reports. Not bad for a day off.

    Sometimes a rest is exactly what the body needs.. Overdoing it for to long can cause burnout.. Enjoy your rest today and tomorrow jump back to those great workouts.
