A Triumph and a Fall

My daughter had a birthday party last night, which means I worked later than usual and I was home alone with my 3 year old son. He is a very good boy, but my treadmill is in the garage. AND it isn't very warm out there. So, committing to getting my 30 minutes in meant leaving the door open, turning on the TV and hoping he would help me get it done. Well, I GOT IT DONE!!! So I enjoyed logging my fitness minutes a lot yesterday because I overcame my impulse to just do what is good for them, and did what is good for me.

Now, the fall.................TACO BELL!!! I love their food and I have made changes in how and what I eat when we are there. But last night, at 8 o'clock, my control was tested and I ate four tacos and a bean burrito. Now, those tacos aren't as ugly as you would think, but the burrito has over twice as many calories as a taco.. I don't love them, but I was starving and scarfed it down. I logged it and I am hoping that staring at a day with almost 500 extra calories will make today a better day.

So, I think yesterday was a wash. My fitness calories outweighed my Taco Bell Burrito, but I would have preferred to have those calories GONE, not offsetting a bad decision made WAY after anyone should be eating dinner.

TODAY WILL BE BETTER BECAUSE I CONTROL WHAT GOES IN .

    I had Taco Bell yesterday too! It was dang tasty and I tracked every calorie here on Spark. I got the Xtreme burrito and 1 soft taco. Luckily in NY, the fast food places have to post the calories right on the menu. That keeps me on track at fast food!
