So I'm struggling with motivation most nights to get my 2-mile walk in. I'm sure for some of you 2 miles is a drop in the bucket but for me it's my daily goal. I don't walk 10,000 steps every day as recommended. My goal is about 6000-7000. Having a desk job certainly doesn't make it easy.
I leave the office around 4-4:30 PM and rush home to make dinner for my Mom and husband. We eat, clean up, and then I log back in to get some more work done. I work for a few hours and then I usually decide to workout once my dinner has settled. My 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone is usually prefaced with some deep sighs coupled with "I really don't feel like working out". I asked my Mom and husband if they're getting tired of hearing that yet but they both graciously said "no". My husband said that he knows I'm tired and that it's hard but that he knows I'll do it anyway. He's right. I do.
So as much as I'm tired each night, I've continued to workout. Today is day 9. I'm tired and don't want to work out but I have done it and it has paid off. I weighed in this morning and I am down 2.5 lbs. Despite the fact that I don't like where my weight is sitting on the scale right now, it was nice to see that I had a loss. It was enough of a motivator for me to call Leslie up on my laptop and join her for another 2 miles tonight without saying "I really don't feel like working out".
G, Great job!! I am proud of you for keeping it up! Most nights I am so tired after working all day, the drive home, fixing dinner, etc.. See my excuses!! I want to change it though. It is great that you have found some will power and motivation!!!
