The Best Way To Not Break Your Resolutions In The First Week Of January

The best way to not break your resolutions in the first week of January is to put off officially making them until the second week haha!

My resolutions aren't super specific or detailed (read on, my GOALS are, not my resolutions!)

Health and Fitness Related:
1. Continue to build on the solid fitness foundation I started last year
(a) Get in at least 10 minutes of dedicated movement everyday this year
(b) Run 365 miles (I actually think I can do much more than this, but the idea is to get in 1 mile a day)
2. Work on eating healthier
(a) Focus on working more whole foods into my diet
(b) Eat fewer "treats" and fried foods

Personal:
1. Nurture my relationships
(a) Significant other: focus on each other more
(b) Friends: thoughtful gifts and outings
2. Live a life inspired
(a) Seek out things to be inspired by and reflect on them
(b) Do the things that make my blood quicken
(c) Be more present in my life
3. Be better organized
(a) Know which birthdays are happening each month and have cards made ahead of time
(b) Keep an organizational binder and use it (cleaning, holidays, finances, etc)
(c) Carry reusable cups and bags so that I use fewer disposable ones

Hmmmm... When I type it all out like that it looks like a lot. My method of dealing with it is to break everything down to a monthly goal that will contribute to my overall resolution. These goals are smaller and more specific.

January Goals:

(Health and Fitness)
For both resolutions, I plan to wholeheartedly use SP in January. Log in every day. Track nutrition and fitness everyday (this is actually so I can see the numbers in the calorie differential report you can pull up on SP), interact with my SparkFriends more and blog four times.
My food goal of the month is to try a few new whole foods, first up is stuffed bell peppers tomorrow!

(Personal)
I have a special gift planned for my Mister and we already went on a date night last Saturday. I am also focusing on casual touch, more hugs, more kisses, more hand on his arm type of stuff.
Luckily there aren't a whole lot of January birthdays, so I'm going to use this month to look ahead and see what I can make early.
I saw the Cirque Du Soleil movie last weekend and it was VERY inspiring. I'm hoping to get in more dancing this month too.
This month's main organizational focus will be making the binder and giving the whole house a quick clean (next month will be the full on cleaning). I need to finish getting my bank account settled after Christmas and my birthday. And I need to buy a small water bottle for my purse as well as one more pocket disposable bag.
