Coach Nicoles challenge for tonight

Wednesday, January 09, 2013

So Coach Nicoles challenge for tonight is turn off the lights to the kitchen. That will be my goal as that is my worst habit. Finish doing a night time workout. Get the kids to bed. Turn on the laptop and go to the kitchen for a snack. I have started aloting myself my snack #2 at night as this is a habit that seems the hardest to break for me. I can exercise everyday, no complaints, I can eat a healthy breakfast and lunch no complaints. It is the night time that I struggle with. last night was fine because I had friends over and we did not think about getting bored and running to the kitchen. So today I will have to make an effort to shut off the kitchen. I wish mine had a door so I could post up a reminder. ha ha

So far so good with my workouts. I am in day 8 of being back to spark and have not missed one day of working out yet. I forgot how much I love exercising and can not for the life of me remember why every so often I just stop and get fat again. I have 51 days left until my first mini goal deadline and I still have 9.5 pounds left to go. My goal is to eat on the low end of my calorie range at least 4 days a week so I can burn more calories as well. I hope this will help with reaching my goal. I need to lose almost 2 pounds a week now. Maybe I should make it 6 days a week of eating at the low end. I burn 7,000 calories a week I will need all the help I can get. ha ha

Closing out the kitchen sounds like a good idea. The way I broke myself of the habit of the late night snack was a firm rule my first time around, 2011, that I did not eat after 9 PM -- no matter what.

While I gained back 2/3 of what I lost in 2011, that habit is broken for good. I don't use that rule anymore because some days I don't have time to eat before then, but I really don't need it anymore -- I'm not snacking all night anymore.

Mindless eating in front of the computer -- now that's another thing!
