What a wonderful day today. Temp was in the 40's and the sun was shinning as my friend and I Hiked in a local park in Nashville called Radnar Lake. We hiked for about 90 minutes and it totaled approximately 4.5 miles. My friend Amy is young and very athletic. She runs on a regular basis while I on the other hand sound like a freight train claiming the hills. I was embarrassed when an older gentleman passed me and looked at me like he thought I was having a heart attach. I warned Amy that I might need to rest frequently as we climbed the "mountain". She just laughed and did some stretching as I tried to get my breath. I am glad to say the last part of the hike was on level ground and I was able to breath without gasping for every breath. We saw all types of ducks on the lake with their babies also the turtles were out sunning on branches in the water. All in all a great hike with a wonderful friend. Doesn't get much better than that.
