Tough

One week ago I joined the 13 pounds in 13 weeks challenge. A couple of days later I joined the January Jumpstart challenge. My first week - and yes, I lost that first pesky pound. Honestly, I had hoped for more - I know it would have just been water weight, but you know how those numbers can affect your brain...
Now the workouts... I have been doing (sort of...) 3 30 minute cardio workouts and 3 strenght training workouts a week - except in December, when I probably did 5 the whole month... Not only did I have weight gain, but I had muscle atrophy! All those muscles I worked so hard to train got soggy and saggy and just not there... But the Jumpstart challenge calls for 30 minutes of cardio, 5 times a week, and a daily video workout. The video workouts are short but excellent - if you haven't tried any, you should!
So since I started this on Friday, I did my normal gym cardiio, then took a great walk on Saturday. Tood Sunday off, did the gym cardio yesterday, and another walk today. Today was the surprise. On Saturday, my heart rate was 115 pretty much the whole time. Today, I could hardly get it over 110. So I walked faster. and faster. To no avail. It topped out at 111.
Did I mention that yesterday's video was "core", which includes lots of abs? So when walking today, I was very conscious of those abs, and really tried to make them work.
When I walked into the house, sweaty and breathing hard, I felt fine. I drank two glasses of water, and chatted with my DH. But about 5 minutes later - while I was taking a shower - my legs and abs turned into jelly, and I actually thought I might collapse. What gives? I DO have hypoglycemia, so I grabbed a 90 calorie Fiber 1 bar and practically inhaled it. That helped a lot. But I really didn't expect that... I do over an hour at the gym, and I get my heart up to 125 to 130. My cardio at the gym is Elliptical, which my knee doctor recommended...
Any ideas why this should happen? I do normally work out early - before breakfast - and this was about 10:30 AM. My plan right now is the gym tomorrow, and to take my 2nd cardio day off on Thursday.
