Well, 7 days off sugar was spoiled this weekend. I made caramels to donate to a fundraiser and I just can't make them without tasting some. So I licked the spoon and the thermometer on Saturday, and had the equivalent of about 4 pieces when I was cutting and wrapping them last night. So it could've been worse, but that's why I'm up a pound this morning. If I'm careful the rest of this week, I'll be down that much again by next week. Though, my Aunt & Uncle are getting remarried on Saturday (they divorced 9 years ago and decided to get back together over a year ago - it's sweet) and I'm sure I'll have a little bit of wedding cake to celebrate. But I'll plan my daily calories for that and then not have any other sweets this month. Ideally, I'm gonna learn to manage this with 2 sweets a month (or less) while I'm trying to lose weight, and then allow 1 a week when I finally get to maintenance. IF I can ever manage to do that. Having an addictive substance in moderation isn't the easiest thing, but a small healthy chunk of the population manages it so somehow I will too!
So today is yogurt and nuts for breakfast, leftover mu-shu shrimp for lunch and probably peanut butter toast for dinner.
It is what it is, I can keep going from here.
