Okay, posted my honest weight this morning. I was TOTALLY not in "eat right mode" over the holidays, so I gained 8 pounds! Yikes! No worries, though - because I know HOW to do this. I have also proven I CAN do it in the past, so guess what? I WILL be doing this in the future.

Will write more later tonight. I am still struggling with the whole "take a snack to bed" thing and eating late. So TONIGHT I AM DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I am going to end the day blogging on Sparkpeople and having a cup of hot tea.

    Holiday gain... it happens. Just about everybody gains during the last couple of weeks, the last month if you want to throw Thanksgiving in there as well! I'm of the opinion that it isn't a big deal. We've learned how to take care of it and enjoying the company of friends and family while indulging in holiday treats is a blessing that we should enjoy, even at the cost of a few extra pounds. So January comes and you get back on the wagon, kick start yourself and shed the extra holiday weight. After all, you have 11 months before the holidays come around again!

    You are not alone in the free eating festivity's. Today, I was getting dressed to take my Dd shopping ... I couldn't even button my jeans. I'm seriously back on the ball now and I'm weighing myself tonight. emoticon emoticon

    Rose, I think most of us gave ourselves a eating healthy vacation over Christmas, as well as dropping our healthy workouts, at least I sure did. I have not had the guts to weigh in yet, that would be today, but I did start back with my workouts and still fighting the eating monster, but at least now I am tracking all and eating less. I know I will get that under control too but just not yet.

    You are right we know what to do and we just got to do it! Heres to a great New Year of reaching all our goals, weight and otherwise. Susan

    Tea is always a good choice :) Stick to your guns and you will be right back to healthy habits in no time.

    Yummy bedtime tea...Sleepytime Vanilla. Daughter-in-law turned me on to that. My go-to strategy if I need help relaxing or to stave off an evening binge.
