Whirlwind Weekend

Went to a party Friday night, then out to a bar. Saturday into San Francisco to walk the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding areas, shopping, out for lunch and dinner and then another (really awesome) bar Rick House. Today was breakfast at the hotel, bakeries, chocolate and then cioppino time! I have no desire to try to dissect and figure the calories from all of that but figured I'd make a few notes. Walking hopefully canceled out some of the eating. I did take a big plate at the potluck party, but not as much of anything as I *wanted* to and kept it to just one trip. It stinks to feel self conscious about how much and what I am eating when surrounded by healthier people but at the same time it's a useful sort of peer pressure. It was no fun shopping Macy Woman while the other girls were buying size 4s but I bought a really pretty lace top for $20 (marked down from $70) and while it was a plus size, 1x is more than enough. I can't wait to get down to a 16 and know that I can find clothes in more stores. I did more limiting of portions than I usually would and, with the exception of the cioppino, stopped before I was full full. Overall it felt like a pretty balanced weekend and not like a gluttinous splurge. Looking forward to another week of (mostly) healthy eating at home.
