Ugh, I find this time of year so frustrating. The horrible diet commericals catering to the lose-it-quick crowd, the confidence-crushing ads for pills, the silly promotions at the grocery store...
...if you want to lose weight, for good, it'll never happen this way.
Kroger is really touting their "Simple Truth" line of products, claiming they are "healthy" and "all natural," not to mention "economical."
Hardly. I took a look at their yogurt selection, not organic, full of sugar and b. regularis. Oh, and about 25% more expensive ($1 for four ounces rather than $1 for six in their regular yogurt).
That didn't change looking at ANY of those products - not organic, just as heavily sugared as the "regular" brands, and all of it in smaller packaging for a higher price.
Golly, what a racket! Wish I'd thought of it myself! Actually, no - I'd be the company putting recipe dispensers near the kale and big
signs in front of the cookie aisle.
Plenty of people want to lose weight. And they fall into the exact same trap every. single. time. "I just can't lose weight the way you did, Donna!" they say.
I do think that my way (the SparkPeople way!) is actually the easiest way. It's just not the fastest.
In other news, I was a busy bee this weekend! I did get enough sleep, so I'm calling it a win.
Have a great week!
