NYR and update from December!

Hello! Happy New Year!

Just checking back with my resolutions for last year. Things sure have changed! For 2012 I aimed to keep my sleep consistent (7 hours+) and to lose approximately one pound a week. The report says I was 172 when I made that resolution last year and I'm 158 now. So I guess I didn't really keep it. However, I feel awesome with the small progress I've made and there's been a lot of other changes that have come up to help with my lifestyle. I'm definitely more knowledgeable now about what I need to do and how to do it :)

This years resolutions are to spend more quality time with my children, meet my weight-loss goals, and reconnect with family and friends that I have been neglecting. Reanimate my social life.

Recently I've put a hiatus on sugar. It's very difficult to account for everything that's in all the different foods but sugar is the focus right now. Eliminating it, mostly.

As for my December goals that I set (flow chart, fridge and cupboard raid, exercise), that is all coming along ok. Before I can switch the fridge around, I need to look some stuff up about keeping vegetables - will they go bad faster being in the open part of the fridge? And the cupboard overhaul is going to happen this weekend. Aren't the holidays wonderful?

My January goals are pretty much the same as December - keeping up with the chart, making sure I'm getting my sleep, green tea, vitamins, water and exercise. I'm also going to put a lot of effort into keeping a food journal. For some reason it just has never been something that has stuck with me. It seems to be the measuring part. Maybe if I slack on the measuring part and just focus on getting everything written down and guestimating amounts then that will be a good start. Yea. I'll do that :)

Training for Mud Hero will start in March! Strength training starts middle of this week!

Good luck to everyone in 2013!
