Fit Bit vs. Fit Bit One

Sunday, January 06, 2013

I keep seeing ads on Spark People for the Fit Bit and the Fit Bit One. I use a pretty decent pedometer, nothing fancy, and I honestly hadn't given the Fit Bit much thought until my co-worker and close friend flashed hers at me after Christmas. It's pretty sleek, shiny, and snazzy with all the bells and whistles. (She's got the Fit Bit One.) Of course, I had a shiny object moment and asked her all about it. Now I am totally intrigued. So, for those of you out there who have either the Fit Bit or the Fit Bit One, what do you think? Would you recommend it? Do you prefer one version over another? Since they are pretty pricy I really want an honest opinion before spending $100 on a pedometer.

I have the fitbit ultra, my nephew got it for me for Christmas 2011. I LOVE it!!! Of course, I will get the newest fitbit as soon as it is syncable to droids. I think right now it only syncs to iphones. They say it will eventually sync to droids as well. The fitbit ultra syncs to my computer only. What I really love about it is not having to worry about a battery dying unexpectedly. I sync my fitbit daily, or every other day and have never had an issue with it not working or losing a charge.

I have a FitBit and I really like it. It helps me with accountability and lets me know if I've moved enough during the day. I like that it gave me a sleep report as well. If anything ever happened to my FitBit I'd be replacing it right away.

I'm on the FitBit Users Unite! Team and you can get lots of feedback there. They were helpful when I was thinking of ordering mine and when I got it.

Good luck with your decision emoticon Pat

I don't own a Fitbit but I have a Striiv. I love my Striiv and cannot live without it. There are goals you can set and it counts like a pedometer and also up stairs. It also has a little game you can play on it, and all the steps you earn allow you to donate to charity. Pretty cool if you think about it. You can donate and people who don't have water get water or a little piece of the rainforest is saved (there is also one for polio vaccines). Oh, and their customer service is excellent. I wore mine for a year straight and when I even thought something might be wrong with it bam, I mail it in and get a new one. For free. Love my Striiv!! http://www.striiv.com

I have had the Fitbit Ulta for 9 months and still love it. The Fitbit One is the newer version and I would not hesitate to get one if mine ever breaks.

I just bought one for my neice and sister. They love it - keeps them on track. I have a body media armband - a little more expensive.....
