Time for enjoyment

No deep thoughts today. I can't think of any great discovery I care to write about. (When that happens I get a picture in my mind of me pushing at a door that's meant to be pulled. Time to step back and look again.)
I've been doing battle with a cold for the last 10 days (I'm winning - each day is a little better) and it makes me appreciate my good health all the more. I don't get sick very often and now I understand why: I DON'T HAVE THE TIME.
Being sick took all of the carefully planned steps to my day and threw them by the side of the road. I still can't move at my normal pace and when I think I can, I have to stop and rest! It's funny in a way but I'm looking forward to finding that get-up-and-go again.
It's been a good weekend for me. I finished two knitting projects yesterday and this morning I realized how good I feel about that. I can finally start something new!! I wanted to continue with those good feelings of accomplishment so I got the blender out and made my new favorite salad dressing this morning. It's an easy one:
2-3 cloves garlic
1/4 c. tahini
1/3 c. lemon juice
Water (to thin as needed)
Put it in the blender and whirl away. Hummus Dressing (without the beans.) It tastes awesome on a kale salad. Add some cooked lentils and some unsalted sunflower nuts and you're good to go.
There will be time for more deep thoughts. For now, I'm going to enjoy the nice feeling of projects that are finished, better health (maybe some renewed energy too?) and a great salad for lunch.
