Fifth Day Of New Year's Resolutions ...

Saturday, January 05, 2013

emoticon The 2013 new year has arrived and I will begin a new start on being the person I wish to become. I'll be daily posting some of the activities and events of my day. Hopefully this will help me to visualize the accountability of my resolutions.
emoticon I did a little reading and research early this morning.
I fed and took care of animals and spent a little outdoor exercise time. Loved the fresh air that was neither too hot or cold. :@)
I managed some physical activity in the way of some heavy housework before showering and getting ready to babysit grandchildren.
I did some posting and Sparkpeople interaction.
I paid a couple of bills and got my tithes ready for church tomorrow.
I called and talked with one of my sons.
I had a short visit with my daughter.
I made a healthy lunch for dh, two grandchildren and myself. (They weren't hungary but I insisted they eat. I know if they don't then it becomes nibbles on junk food and won't eat regular food meals.)
I spent the afternoon with our eldest son, his two boys, our other two grandchildren and dh at the local movie theater watching "The Hobbit" in 3D. Great flick!
I had an altercation at the theater snack bar where we spent over $50.00 in beverages and snacks and they shorted us a large popcorn ($10.00). I was so angry I could have spit. It was their word against mine. They said they already gave it to us but we didn't have it. Hmmm ... It took me about 15 minutes after I walked away (fuming) to calm myself down. I went back to the counter knowing I had been wronged just to tell them "I forgive you." I needed to do that to release "myself" from the anger and to be able to embrace the joy of my family and our time together. It worked.
I dropped off grandchildren and returned home to spend a quiet evening "alone" with my dh. (Wow! How did that happen? lol)
emoticon or emoticon or emoticon How do you think I did today?

    You did good.
    Especially the forgiving part.
I don't do the snack bar.
If I think I am going to have to have something for my over-active-elbow, I bring something healthy from home and my bottle of water.
    Proud of all your activity.

You did better than would have at the theatre concession stand. Whatever happened to the customer being always right especially since you didn't have the popcorn. A two thumbs up day for sure!!!
