Preparing to return to my personal hamster wheel.

Friday, January 04, 2013

Last day of paid vacation. Today, tomorrow and Sunday and then back to the amazing race! But who's counting? I am trying hard to maintain a relaxed state. I did nothing all break. A conscious choice. Trying to decompress. Now there are some things I need to do to make my transition more successful. Preparations. Yesterday I went out and about looking for clothing for work. It's a very specific task. I wear a "uniform" to work. Khaki pants, skirts or dresses. White or a very specific forest green collared shirt. So, looking for work clothes requires a lot of searching. The search can be fast. I can look at a rack for color and size quickly. I can run into a store, look at all the racks and be out of there in a hurry if nothing is available, BUT, it requires a lot of in and out of stores! I will have to step out to the stores today as well. I will go to the store that carries forest green polo shirts. Not my most feminine option, but it gets the job done.
More importantly I need to sort my school paperwork that got dumped into my office on the Friday before Christmas and left.

So simply stated - Today's goals

> organize school clothes
> organize school papers
> take a walk
> eat lots of veggies
> drink lots of water
> get back on my sleep schedule (in bed by 9)

That will ease my mind and help a great deal with the transition. So . . . here I go!

Have a great day and continue working toward a terrific 2013!

the uniform is a really wise way of living I think and I've been reading more and more about more and more people doing it ... http://www.doorsixteen.com/2013/01/

It's so nice to have you back - I've been in and out myself - but am planning a weekly Sunday check in. Here we go back to school again! Stay healthy. emoticon Keep washing our hands!!!

Well with having a uniform takes away the worry of what to wear each workday, one less decision to make in a busy day. I am sure you will get everything in order and organized to start your return to work.

No doubts that you will get it all done, Nancy. I never heard of a school where teachers wear uniforms...or is it just your personal choice? For me, it's lots of pink!!! When I'm in the office with no programs, it's a no-pink day for me.

Enjoy your clothes shopping! Be sure to get that rest! Hugs!

Healthy goals, New clothes,, and a renewal of energy...ready for the next semester. Your school sounds like it has big expectations with teacher uniforms and Saturday classes. Is it a charter school? Good luck!

Enjoy your last day off. Our instructors and students will return on Monday, but the rest of the employees started back on Weds. I have a schedule not too different from yours. I do so much better if I'm in bed at 9, but it doesn't always happen. Planning is definitely key to a smoothly-running day. Hope that everything comes together for you this weekend and you're ready for a solid start to your week.
