Being honest with myself

Hi I am Danielle! I actually started the January challenge yesterday. I have been a sparkpeople member for a little while yet (still under a year but not sure how long exactly). I am a full time student and am very involved with my school organizations. I love exercise (I am training for my 3rd half marathon) and am passionate about nutrition. I am going to school to be a dietitian. Well, that sounds like a great combination for success, I struggle! I do not have a naturally small physique. I don't mean that being skinny is my goal, because it's not. Being healthy, is but food is kind of my weakness (and at school, that is all we talk about!) I know the facts, but sometimes have troubles motivating myself to do what I know is right. I love sparkpeople though, they have been great helping me be/stay motivated. I actually enjoy my time on this site. I think the best part about this site is that it keeps me honest and I don't feel judged. It gives me the tools for success. When I use the food tracker especially, I do great! I have read a lot of research about this method and here I see it work! So now, it's time to do it!

    Hi Danielle!! Sounds like you're off to a great start - tracking food makes it a lot easier to make good decisions, because I don't want to log the bad ones! Good luck with that third half marathon emoticon
