Man made disease: Diabesity

Friday, January 04, 2013

In my work, I had a client request that I do a study on "diabesity" for them. I'd never heard of it. Much to my surprise, many parts of the world are calling the combination of diabetes and obesity "diabesity". It's not a very complementary disease; it is completely preventable and completely man-made. We're doing it to ourselves.

Given my recent mindset, which I've thoughtfully shared (pffft!), I thought I would share other musings, this time on survival, and being fat. I hope it's okay to link to "other places" because, having published it elsewhere, I can only link to it rather than reprinting it. But, it says what I feel........and in my job as a writer and sometimes-bad-news-bringer, it was time to write it. More on this to come, I'm sure.

PS, we did better today. Angel made thai noodles and all is a dull roar.

I am a suffer of this disease . It is not a happy thing to be burdened . you make excuses for why you have it and why all the things you are doing is not working . why so many different things befall yourself on any given month . this past month i find myself at the eye doctor . no not the one that gives you glasses . the one that takes a lasor and uses it on your eye to stop the bleeding . no my eyes are not dripping blood but the vessel inside my eyes are bleeding and they need to stop . i am not reading print right and when i look at printed words it looks like they took part of the page and covered it with paper so i can not see words whole but faded into nothing . .do you hate the eye chart as much as i do ? read the letters and tell me what the smallest line you can read . most hated words in the world . . next to is their an elephant stepping on my scales ? meaning me .
