2013 Goals and Such...

2012 is over and I am honestly happy to put it in the books. Done. Moving on. 2012 was a whole lotta ups and downs. I can honestly say that I grew as a person in many ways so I can't say it was a bad year, I am just happy for a fresh start.

2013! I am so happy to be moving into a new year, fresh start, fresh goals. That type of thing.

it is an awesome catalyst for pushing forth some of the goals I have for myself. I have created my 10 goals -- it is a lofty jump, but one I am willing to make:


emoticon Have a positive body image and feel good about who and what I am I am working daily to combat negative voices and counteract them with good ones, taking time daily to reflect on what I like about me.


emoticonUtilizing my Fitbook, work to achieve fitness and nutrition goals: become a stronger person by lifting weights, combining cardo and flexibility 5-6 days a week and focusing on well rounded nutrition without stressing out about the calorie amount.


emoticonCreate and live by a household budget for all of us working to save a minimum of 4,000 this year in our savings account and not create debt.


emoticonCreate personal boundaries and feel good about saying no to things that I don't feel good about doing or want to do.


emoticonMy Push Goal is to become more organized and to procrastinate less: simplifying my life as much as possible by keeping organized, decluttering and maintaining a schedule..


emoticonCreate more family time with everyone taking bi-weekly/monthly date nights with hubby and spending individualized time (as it allows) with each kiddo also creating a family game night each week to help with the overall family bond.


emoticonEat intuitively, honoring hunger and fullness cues.


emoticonListen fully to my body to be injury free from workouts


emoticonQuit buying processed foods and make everything from scratch


emoticonWeekly menu planning, trying a new recipe each week, creating a shopping list and sticking to weekly menu eliminating unplanned trips of eating out.

The one thing that I desperately need to get back into is my to do list

I have neglected it and without it I am, quite honestly, lost.

I have aligned my goals nicely with my life priorities (family, health, financial security) and am working to keep aligned also with intuitive eating. I will admit it, it is very hard not to get sucked into the lose the weight resolutions and I have taken a pretty big step back from Spark because of it. I just can't be brought back into that mindset. I invested in another Fitbook as it helps me track my fitness and nutrition goals but counting calories is out of the picture.

I have started another round of ChaLEAN Extreme and I am emoticon ing it! CLX is hands down my favorite program. I took a pretty big step back from working out and just focused mainly on yoga but feel that I am ready to make some fitness goals for myself that don't revolve around weight loss, but more on strengthening my body. I feel better physically when I lift weights, my back doesn't hurt when I work my core and I feel my stress evaporate.

I don't have any big goals revolving around nutrition OTHER than to just focus on gentle nutrition -- nothing hard and fast like counting calories, carbs, etc but rather focusing on eating intuitively. I feel very strongly that is where I should be.

I feel good. I feel like 2013 is going to be a fantastic year for me. It feels awesome to have a fresh start and a clean slate. I am looking forward to moving forward and accomplishing my goals.

    I love all of your goals. I like your meal planner too. Much more efficient looking than my white board approach. I also like your goal of saving $4000 for the year. I hadn't even thought about a goal in that area.

    Love all of your goals.

    We've always had a budget but rarely do we not overspend. It had definitely gotten much butter over the years but I'm determined to end every month in the black instead of the red. I've automated the savings. So every 15th of the month, ING takes money out of our checking account. Thanks goodness or else nothing would get saved.

    I'm also working on a Dinner Calender for the month. This will help with the grocery line item on the budget. I'm bringing back Slow-Cooker Fridays. Having cooked food in the house over the weekend will definitely impact the dining out line item.
