Thanks again for the support, we have a plan in place so that is good.

I was told that this flu is really bad in our state and others.
I did call our CVS Pharmacy and they told me about the stronger vaccine for seniors.
I called my Doctors office and asked if we were given a stronger dose and they said all the adult doses were the same.
Later in the day DH had an appointment with one of the MD's Our Dr is still out. I mentioned this to this young lady and she said she will check it out and she said this virus is lasting for weeks.

I called the surgeons office and his PAS called me back. It is 12 days to surgery, so I felt I had to tell them what is going on.
They will see DH when we go to the class. We will have masks I use them often now. If DH or I is not up to the long drive i will call that day. They said that would work. If DH is not going to be better and I fear he is not. The PA said they will swap in another patient and put DH back a week or two.

We assumed it would still be another 3 months so I am so happy we have a back up plan.

I have been so happy using the many old remedies I seemed d to have forgotten. Thanks for the great reminders. HUGS Pat in VERY cold Maine
Wind chill will be way down there now. I am happy to have a warm little house.

It is great news that the surgeons office is flexible enough to adjust the schedule to accommodate Fred as he is fighting his way back to health..... I am not so impressed with your PC as any kind of invasive proceedures when one is ill, can take extra time to heal, and maybe even cause some complications. Yes, you want it done as soon as possible but you also want it to be safe.....

All the best to you both. Hope you are both hale and hearty again soon.

Good to have a back-up plan in place but I am hoping you will both be better soon. am drinking echinacea tea in the hopes that I don't get this. I have a card from my insurance company to get a flu shot at the pharmacy, but I haven't done that yet. Maybe I should. emoticon

Glad you are staying warm inside! It's very cold here too...low teens during the days. At least the sun is shinning, and Preston and I are able to stay indoors!

    Keep on feeling better!

Pat, so glad to hear it would be a delay, but not as long as feared IF DH is not feeling better. **SIGH** Rotten timing to get the virus. Indeed it is one of those that just keeps on going . . . unfortunately. HOpe it runs it's course quickly for you and DH.

Hang in there and stay warm. Cold here, too.

It's better you two be safe than sorry.

I got my flu vaccine back in September. I've yet to be sick and am happy about that. It doesn't work for everyone but it works for me.

Take good care of each other.

Well, glad that DH's surgery would only have to be rescheduled to a few weeks later...and not 3 months!

There seems to be some awful colds and flus going around. We went to our Dr. for regular A1c test for me...and pre-admission blood test for my Dh...and our Dr. and 1 Nurse were coughing and sniffling. They were both back in after some time off. But by the sounds of them, they should not be in! Their other nurse is out sick with it now. LOL! I was rubbing hand sanitizer ALL over when we left there.

Hope you both feel better soon.

In sympathy with you, I have a doozie of a cold.
Sore throat, temperature, sneezing and blocked nose.
My doctor said to wait a few days and see if it goes away.
i really don't want any more antibiotics. I am glad you are
starting to feel better now. Try and keep warm. With me,
it's trying to keep cool. It is so muggy and hot and we are
told that next week there is another heatwave on the way
That is good news about the surgery back up plan. I hope
Fred gets better soon. Take good care of yourselves. emoticon
