"I'm back, from outer space"

Wednesday, January 02, 2013

It seemed appropriate for a title... (I know, I know, it's "you're back" but I wanted to use it anyway, and you didn't go anywhere, I did...) So, Sparkfriends, how have you all been?! I have missed you and will get my butt in gear and wish all of you very happy and belated assorted holidays. Let's just say December was not my month. Pretty much everyone in the house took turns being sick all month on top of the general chaos that follows the holiday season around like a lost little puppy. I spent the month wading through Kleenex, cough drops, and job applications and sadly did not have the time to devote to tracking and blogging and blog lurking.

I just hopped off of the elliptical after my first workout of 2013 (30 minutes, nothing fancy), and I actually had to knock dust off of the screen! I am so ashamed (and proud because I am back to it. Finding silver linings may be a new resolution for me)... I didn't make an "official" resolution because I generally change my mind after two weeks or a month and want to try something totally different, but I DO want to run a half marathon before the year is out (even if it's just the distance and not a "real" race), and that should be totally within reach and whittle away at the debt is the other one. Exciting stuff, I know. In general, I want to focus more on being happy this year and maintaining a positive outlook. I can be a bit glass-not-only- half-empty-but-cracked-and-lea
king-everywhere from time to time and I want to work on that.

Okay, time for a bath! Have a great night, all!

LOL I laughed at your leaky glass. I think working on seeing the silver linings is a wonderful resolution, even if it's an unofficial resolution. Truly, practice helps in refocusing your perspective like that. Good luck! Let me know if you ever need a sunshiney kick in the butt, I'm all over that! emoticon

Happy new year, and bravo on the elliptical workout! You're a few steps ahead of me on the workout schedule (I haven't started yet) and you only had to dust... I had to fully reassemble my elliptical trainer, haha! You can be extra proud of yourself now!

How have the last few days been? Did you get another workout in? Here's to dedication and consistency in 2013!

I had to brush dust off of Sparkpeople.

December sounds like it was crazy. I'm glad you're back and back on track. January is totally your month! Sometimes the glass is leaking. But you can always find the ceramic glue and put it back together.
