Reflections, resolutions,and a new year

Well, it is the first day of the new year and time to take stock of the past and plan for the future.
I have been on SparkPeople almost a year now ( in February).Though I haven't lost as much weight as I would like, I have made some healthy changes and some awesome friends which is worth a lot. I really appreciate the love and support of everyone and want you to know I support you too!
I'm resolved to do better myself in the coming year.
It doesn't matter how many times you start over as long as you never really quit,right?
Some goals I'm setting for myself include:
1. Jump start the weight loss-my husband and I are going to start a low carb diet next week. It will be hard because of my love of pasta and potatoes
and I will even have to cut down on fruits!
good thing it is only a short term measure.
2. Change up and bump up excercise- There is a Zumba class being offered at one of the elementary schools here and I plan to check it out and add it too my excercise routine. I've never done it, but I enjoy dancing so it should be fun.
3. To continue to be a positive, loving person- I will not allow the scale to dictate my mood. My happiness is a choice and not dependent on some number.
