Ok sooo ive tried this blog thing before but never stuck to it. Im really ginna try harder to stick with it. Im really determined this time around and i know i will reach my goal this year and to be able to document it would be cool.
Lets see..... why do i want to lose weight? Well there are many reasons. First, i want to be healthy. Heart issues and diabetes run in my family. I would love to avoid both of those as well as any other illnesses that affect my heart. Second, i would like to be a good example to my family. I have no kids although someday i want to and being in shape and healthy means lots of needed energy to play with my kids. But i do have siblings and parents who i could serve as an example for them to lead healthier lives. Third, i absolutely love zumba! My goal is to become a zumba instructor. And i need to lose weight to be able to lead a whole class. Plus, who wants to take a fitness class from an overweight instructor? And last but not least, i want a beach body. What more needs to be said about that?
So how am i going to do this? Well definitely by making better food choices. I am cutting out sugar and white starches. I will be switching over to everything whole wheat and brown rice. I will be eating 5-6 smaller meals a day and adding in more fruits and veggies to my diet. Also i will be giving up fast food. As for exercise, my husband and i will be starting insanity soon. I will slso be attending zumba and hip hop fitness classes as well.
With all that said, i have 82.5 lbs to lose to be at my ftarget weight. Ive got a plan in place and im going to try my hardest to stick to it. Motivation is going to be key. Im ready.... LETS DO THIS!

    it is never to late to start.

    my sister lost 105 pounds at age 63 walking 15000 steps a day.

    i have lost 44 pounds by giving up grain and sugar products at age 60..

    i walk 15000 steps a day.

    i use a salad plate as my dinner plate.

    i keep mandrtan oranges in the fridge. when the sweet tooth comes on i grab one or two tablespoons of the fruit.
