Simple Diet Journal #30 -- Determined!!!!

Today has been a day full of what Dr. Anderson (and probably many others) calls "self-talk" -- to stay focused, positive and with a can-do attitude.

He writes:

"Be your own coach and give yourself a self-talk pep talk. Your positive voice has to be louder than your negative voice to drown it out" (p. 188).

I'm generally a positive, glass full type of person. Still, it is helpful to cheer myself on -- and some days I just find myself needing to do so more than others. As I start the New Year -- my dream is to live up to what I've already attained (flaws and oops though there may have been) and move forward and let new dreams become realities.

So, I've been coaching myself a lot today -- and statements that keep running through my mind are: "I am Determined!!!!" "Each day counts -- stay on track!" "Go, team, go!!!!!" "I Can and I Will!"

I look forward to hearing what others use as their inner coach for self-talk. If you have some -- please share.

    food is an accomplaiment not the be all end all !
