The New Tree

So today I begin working on my new tree. A little play on the saying, "turning over a new leaf." I'm going to build my tree one leaf at a time, and today I made some decisions about how to go about doing that. Usually, I have some grand plan, and within about two weeks I'm no where. So, I'm going in the opposite direction.. I'm going to exercise for at least 10 minutes a day. But I am going to keep the kind of exercise varied..some days I'll ride the bike, for sure, but I'm kind of sick of the bike. So other days, I'll go for a walk, others I'll do a dvd, others, I'll play on our new xbox kinect (we have Harry Potter and Star Wars, and I'm very excited about both of those! We also have a game with all kinds of sports that Tony was playing the other day, not sure what sports are on it, but I know beach volleyball is!). It's about bringing activity to the lifestyle, not adhering to the same old routine, that just wasn't working for me.
My second goal is to track my food, eating about 1600 calories a day.. about 300 for breakfast, 400 for lunch, 5 hundred for dinner, and mid- morning and afternoon snacks, and a little treat for nighttime..
My third goal is to include 5 fruits and veggies in those calories.
My fourth goal is at least 8 cups of water daily.
I don't think I'm biting off more than I can chew because this is all stuff that has been pretty routine for me for a lot of the last few months, except for the last one. But if I start to feel overwhelmed, I'll re-visit the plan. I think it will be fine though.
