Results from Doctors Visit

Monday, December 31, 2012

Doctor's visit didn't go as I was hoping. Thyroid came out normal, cholesterol all came back normal. Liver and Kidney levels were borderline though. And she still can't figure out the chest pains and abdominal pains yet. So going for a stress test within the next 2 weeks and another follow up for results. Hoping soon I can figure this out. As for the cholesterol my healthy one was a little low or whatever, only fix is diet and exercise which I'm already doing. So she says keep it up. On their scale I'm down 7 pounds, but they use old fashioned ones not digital so not 100% accurate. Although I am down 4.5 pounds since I was there 3 weeks ago. So happy about that. Hoping for clearer answers in the new year.

The same thing happens to me when I go to the doctor too. I have a variety of very specific syptoms but no answers. It can be very frustrating. I hope you find some answers this new year!

She keeps asking me if I have a funny taste in my mouth throughout the day. But I'm not sure, I know certain foods don't taste like they used to is all I can tell her. Just want answers is all, but I know I have to be patient. And thanks.

Sorry you didn't get the answers you were looking for. I know how frustrating that can be. Just a thought - have you ruled out acid reflux? Chest pains and abdominal pains are actually pretty common with GERD, along with a whole host of other symptoms (and you don't always have have heartburn with GERD - I didn't). Good luck!!

That's great that you're controlling your cholesterol through diet and exercise. I need to get mine rechecked soon. I always trust the old-fashioned medical scales more than the digital ones.
