Done! *Doing Happy Dance*

For most occupations, people look forward to relaxing during the holidays. Exactly the opposite in retail. Even worse in grocery. There is no rest for the weary until that magical moment on December 31st, mid afternoon when it is finally over.
From January 1st to Easter the retail produce department comes to a screaching halt. There will be a short spurt of people with resolutions to lose weight (a week). Valentines Day is flowers and chocolate covered strawberries.... enjoyable, little stress, everything was pre-booked last month. Otherwise, it is just maintaining the status quo and coasting.
While I seem to have been complaining ( A LOT) lately, I truly look forward to the Holiday Season (10/15-12/31). It's just that it drains you and you feel a bit jealous and guilty after a while. Jealous of those that have jobs that allow you to kick back when the majority of people are. A bit guilty when your kids are home, relatives come to visit and you are worrying if you are going to run out of green onions (*bingo - happened today for the first time all season)
Starting tomorrow, I am going to focus on ME, my husband, my kids and my family.
I am going to go back to daily exercise and lose the final 10 lbs.
I am going to dig through closets, attic and declutter. I am going to reorganize bedrooms, move furniture and start looking at new carpet samples for the master bedroom.
I am going to read 4 books that have been saved on my tablet for months. Get the sewing machine up and running.
More important, I am going to destress and rest so I am more pleasant to be around!
Happy New Year Everyone!
