It was a busy and good weekend.
Yesterday we went for groceries early as we had lots to do and didn't want to run into the snowstorm people. Those that go to the store to get bread and milk when a storm is forecasted.
We went to my BIL for our Christmas celebration. We had boycotted Christmas Eve with them. It was okay but the typical time at their house. Their kids, our nephew and niece, are disrespectful. The things that they say to their parents would have earned me a trip to my room or worse in my day (not to sound old here). At one point my nephew, who's 14, had a meltdown and was sent out of the room. I wanted to go at that point but since we hadn't had dinner yet or exchanged gifts that wouldn't work.
Finally quiet was restored and the rest of the night was okay. Well it turns out that we should have left earlier. The snow was pretty bad when we left. They live in the "snow belt." Hubby was driving and it was treacherous. When we hit 495 we were lucky enough to get behind a string of plows. That was pretty good until they got off the highway. It was a long trip home.

Today we took down our tree and cleaned up a bit. We are getting a new diningroom set and want to drop off the carpet to get it cleaned before it is delivered. That's what we are doing tomorrow.

We went to the movies this afternoon after all the work was done. Made a clean eating soup recipe for dinner. I am trying to be good. emoticon

Sounds like your 'celebration' made home seem just that much more sweet. What movie did you see? I wish I could get my man to go. I love going to the movies. He, on the other hand, does not. What soup did you make?

    HUGS to you!
