2013 Plan

Sunday, December 30, 2012

I had to really think about this as I want to succeed with this weight loss. I am going to try the low carb route again as it seems to work for me the best. I need to get a handle on these illnesses that are wreaking havoc in my body. Gallbladder pain is really special and seems to come out of nowhere. The tumor on my kidney is creating fluid retention. I know diet can really help this - it is to figure out what I need and dont need.
Exercise is key for me - but it is hard to fit it in. I have more work responsibilities than before so my normal week will increase by about 5 hours in 2013. My ageing parents will continue to age (thankfully) but they also require time and energy. There is also school which needs 12 - 15 hours a week. I am thinking of walking for part of my lunch hour although that is somewhat dependent on weather and how many errands I need to do. I got some awesome DVDs for christmas that I am looking forward to trying, but I will need to structure my time better.
I will also downsize my goals so that if I acheive them I can celebrate that instead of beating myself up over the ones I missed. It is small changes that will have the biggest impact - sustainable foods, exercise and attitude will allow me to reach my goal.

    Hi Laura,

    This is a great plan.

Talking of low carb, I am reading a really interesting book, "Wheat Belly" from the cardiologist Dr. William Davis. On Amazon, you will be able to read a lot of reviews on it. You could also find information on it here :
BR>About workout DVDs, there are two very interesting websites where you can find all kind of workouts for beginners, intermediate and advanced. You can also preview the workouts : Collage Video and Total Fitness DVDs>

I have to work on my nutrition also and get the habit of working out.

    We'll do it!
