Day One

I said I would start blogging my P90X experience, and here I am.

Today was working on chest & back, and then ab ripper.

I learned the following things: I cannot do a push up, I cannot do a chin up, and I cannot do a proper sit up. I have no upper body strength, so this was really hard for me. The biggest thing that kept me going was the little timer on the bottom of the screen that told me how much longer I had to go.

But I stuck with it, and I actually felt good when I was finished. I did what I could, and I modified what I couldn't. I really enjoyed the video, and the whole philosophy of "do your best and forget the rest."

I have to take my "before" pictures still, and I didn't journal how many reps of each exercise that I did. That will change tomorrow, so I can chart my progress better.

Tomorrow is plyometrics. I haven't previewed the DVD, so I don't yet know what I'm getting myself into. That's okay though, I like surprises. :)

On the push-up section try "female" style. We did this in Navy Boot Camp. Knees on the floor vice legs extended. This helped us build up our upper body strength.
