ankle operation

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Haven't been on line much these last couple of months. Had my ankle operated on Oct. 29 and have been laid up. Had an infection which cause my skin to itch like crazy and my foot and calf to double in size. So between having my ankle and calf in a cast for 6 weeks and then the infection its been an interesting 2 months. Tried to stay within my calorie range but when you depend on others to cook for you that isn't always possible. Not to say I don't appreciate all that my husband and son have done for me. I don't know where I would have been without them. I just want to start taking this weight off again.

2013 will be my year to reach my goal or at least get as close as I can. Never thought I would be looking forward to exercising again. I miss my walks. Right now I couldn't walk outside anyway but there is always the gym. Anyway on the mend and waiting to get back on tract as soon as I see the doctor in 2 weeks. At least I can start my food plan again.

Take care everyone!!

Get well soon!! It's so hard to hit these kinds of snags and to accept help from others, especially when you've been working toward a goal and using a specific "plan". emoticon You can always control your portions, your ratio of veggies-to-carbs/fat/sugars, etc. Little things like that can help you maintain some control :0)

Also, if you need a pick-me-up, have you heard of CastMedic Designs? Saw them on the Steve Harvey Show... they make accessories for casts and walking boots. Sometimes playing dress-up can be exactly what you need in order to brighten your mood (maybe that's just me and my girly ways! lol!) http://castmedicdesigns.com
