how do I lose my belly fat? a challenge

Hi all, I am new here, brand new and would like to get a "feel" for the community, so I am issuing a challenge, there are no prizes and absolutely nothing to gain from it.

The challenge is, how do I lose my belly fat? in your opinion, but before you jump in, I am a typpe2 diabetic and have been for 2 years now, a year ago I weighed 145 kilos and had a waist line of 124cm, now, in December 2012 I weigh 110 kilograms and my waist is 107cm, so this is a topic I do know about, but I am not going to tell you what and how I achieved my current status, I want to know what you know so have at it.

    I have the same problem. I agree with the other posters that you can't "spot reduce" say by doing a million crunches every day. It's about calories in and calories out. Fat is fat and it will come off with eating within your calorie range and lots and lots of exercise emoticon

    I am losing mine following Wheat Belly with a combo of Paleo lifestyle. It is pain-free.

    Belly fat is part of all of it, but stress contributes a lot with the cortisol, so try to do some yoga and meditation perhaps and enough sleep.. Do abs exercises but also back exercises and also kegels help, I've heard.

    Best quote ever: "Abs are made in the kitchen". It's about your overall body fat and not spot reduction. After some yo-yo'ing, I have some extra fluff to get rid of!!

    Welcome to SP. My belly is big and it won't go away. It always has been full-never did have a waist line. I don't know what to do about it. Hope you have a very Happy New Year filled with happiness and success.

    1. eat within claorie range getting calories from healthy foods not junk candy and pop.
    2. workout everyday
    3. sleep 7-8 a night
    4. find out ur triggers that make you over eat and work through them.
