Busy day- very productive

Wednesday, December 26, 2012

Mom and I did our usual Perkins breakfast and errands. Mailed all the renewals I had done on Monday. Went to our chiropractor appointment and picked up some groceries for her. Stopped at the beauty shop and I washed my mom's hair. the owner is really nice and lets me do it myself and not charge us anything. We took her car today so it got some nice highway miles on it when we drove to drop off a deposit at the bank for the gun club renewals. Was cold, but sunny so the day was very productive for both of us.

We did stop and take advantage of a DQ blizzard coupon. Buy one get one free. That was our big splurge for the day. Kind of blew my calories for the day, but it was a nice treat for the two of us. My mom had never had a blizzard before and she really like the Georgia Mud Fudge flavor we had.

Went for a nice walk when hubby got home from work. We bundled up and did our normal 1.4 mile walk around the neighborhood. Home and had supper. Jim polished off the remaining roast from last night, and i had the sushi my mom and I bought today. After dinner went to a local camera shop and Jim found a nice used camera lense that he ended up buying. It is a Sigma 180 macro lens and the price was really good- $600.

Home now and Sparking and checking email. Just a nice second day off from work. Back to the grindstone now until next Wednesday.

You are so good to your mama. I loved doing things with my mama when she was alive. We would have so much fun. t could take us all afternoon to have lunch because we talked more than we ate!!! Are you two like that? Sounds like Jim got himself an after Christmas present! Your walk sounds like it was nice, too. it rainned here this afternoon, so most of my walking was ndoors today.
