What to consider shifts in: Overworked? Relationships with others? (do you have time for that?) Spirituality? (check in with yourself on this...do you believe God made you & loves you, and do you believe you're worth something?) Binges? (question: is it boredom, stress, lack of sleep, loneliness...?)
The commitment and investment you made into a trainer sounds like one of the best things you could do. Baby steps, dear. Be kind to yourself. Especially if you're overworked and overtired...you may need to address that too.

Sherry, looks like you have a coupla serious issues that also have to be dealt with: your horrendous, busy work schedule, and your depression.
We can have an endless spiral downhill, or we can DEAL with the depths of despair; Becoming ACTIVE is key, I think. DECIDING and then getting past the excuses to exercise and the beginnings of changing our eating lifestyle. But DECIDING to get moving has really helped me deal with my serious depression.
I too work seven days a week and that has to stop! We're not going to lose weight, Sherry, if you and I don't have any DOWN time. Time to mellow out and relax, time to have FUN, time to PLAY, time to LOVE. I mean loving the dog is wonderful; but we're human beings. We need REAL, LIVE human beings to give us a hug everyday!

You can do this if you want it badly enough. I finally decided I DO want to release myself from obesity. It took me nearly FIVE YEARS, but it FINALLY clicked. I am keeping it very simple. Track every bite and keep within my calorie range 90% of the time ('cuz I sometimes need a little wiggle room) and drink lots of water. I am gradually adding more exercise in, but right now I am focusing on the calories and weighing in DAILY. I am on my way and gaining momentum, not weight. Do it for YOU. 2483 days ago
Sometimes are lives get busy...and we stop taking good care of ourselves. The truth is we need to dedicate the time to take care of ourselves even more when we are busy and stressed. I think that is the difference between those that DO and those that want to DO.
I just got the book "The Art of Extreme Self Care" it is a 12 month program that will teach me that there is no more putty myself on the back burner. I hope that you will make this your last start. I know that I can't have another "first Start" after this one. I am tired of going back to the starting line. I want to move a long now. :)
