Day 16~

Was a day to accomplish Christmas cards and wrapping presents, plus I went and did dishes, laundry and sweeping for my daughter who just had a baby. It was a very full day. Storm Draco didn't keep me down. All these activities involved standing or sitting mostly, so even though I didn't even meet my new step goals, I am sure I will make it up over time.

Day 17~

I brought one of my granddaughters home with me for the night. We had a delightful time. She wanted to participate in my walk at home work out and did the entire 3 miles with me. Isabelle is 5 years old!!

We also went to my daughters who had a cookie decorating party for all my grandchildren. We had a wonderful time. We also went out to supper together in the evening. For the first time in a long time, I exceeded my caloric intake. I met my 6000 step fitness goal for the day. Another granddaughter came home with me for the night.

I had another wonderful walking companion to do my new 2 mile walking work out with the weighted belt. Morgan, 6 years old, hopped around and got a ton of exercise. We had a blast together, working out, playing Candy Land and sipping tea! Daddy picked her up before we got to the nail painting fun. She also had a blast playing fetch with my puppies.

I chose to do a two day organic super juice cleanse today and tomorrow. It releases toxins from the fat cells and generally makes you feel great. Because I had 4 small sugar cookies yesterday and a quesadilla for supper, I considered not doing the cleanse today. You get better results when you eat clean before the cleanse. I am glad I decided to do it anyway.

I maintained my 6000 step goal even though I did the cleanse, but I broke it up with a 2 mile in the morning as I mentioned and then added a 5 minute boost walk, plus a another 500 step boost walk, this evening. I felt I needed it and I can't sit around all day without feeling really dull of mind. Spurts of walking really helps me to have better focus.

I am going on a Spiritual Retreat in January, so I am gearing up with my health by cleansing and working out to be prepared for a wonderful time of integrating new understandings. It is a holistic retreat and I will be doing a lot of EFT/tapping with my mentor.

Right now I am still practicing to be more present with whatever I am doing. Tuning in to the "silence between the thoughts". I heard that today and loved it. emoticon

A spiritual retreat should be a refreshing time. Sounds like you've got a plan to get back to center.

A Spiritual Retreat in January is just the ticket for starting off the new year in a good frame of body, mind, and spirit. I envy you!!! With the walking and the cleanse you should be in good shape and having your EFT mentor is icing on the cake. You must report back, send a Spark Letter to me. I want to know all about it.

Lovely way to spend the day. Thanks for adding to my holiday joy. Christmas is about so much MORE than the hustle and bustle and stress of the season. It sounds as though you are taking care of ALL of you spiritually, physically, and mentally. Good for you.
