The Simple Diet Journal #27 -- Even One Day

It's Day 3 already of getting back into the Simple Diet -- Phase 1 style. I've decided to go for 90 days, a la the title of the book, and just to let it really soak in fully. Starting in the midst of holidays may not be the optimal time -- but, hey, I figure -- when is it ever the perfect moment?

At the end of Day 1 I could tell that I was fully clicking in again. I used to think that I knew I was on a roll once I passed the 3 week mark. But for this season -- even one day -- the first day -- it all just felt right and familiar.

Partly, of course, it's "easy" because I've been staying pretty close to plan for months now. It's also easy, I think, because having explored all types of shakes/bars/Greek yogurts/frozen entrees months ago, I already know which ones I like -- and which ones I don't.

But, there is a difference between being on plan with add libbing a bit and being on plan as it's been designed. It does take focus and intention. So, here's to that -- along with tracking and the words of an exceptional workout instructor -- "stick with what works."

Here's to more "one days" adding up to 90 (and I'm even thinking of 180) . . .
